Central Primary School of Zhaoshi, originally named Zhujin Primary School, was established in August,1912. It fluxed many times and underwemt the hardest time. Then in the May of 1949, it was taken over by the local government and renamed "Zhujing Primary School", then given a name as "Central Primary School of Zhaoshi Commun" in 1964. After the 3rd plenary session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, it took its name "Central Primary School of Zhaoshi". With an investment of 75,000 yuan by the local government, it was moved to Songjiadang at the foot of Dongfeng Bridge. And in 1999, planned by the former Zhaoshi government and invested by the government of the new Meili Town, the new building of the school was put under construction in October at a price of over 13 million yuan and put into use on September 1st, 2000. It covers 40 mu with a construction area of 11,000 square meter. The new school has more than 1,300 students of 30 teaching classes and a staff of about a hundred fellows. It has all kinds of special rooms and facilities which are on the lead. 
　　Quality education was comprihensively carried out in each subject in the school, and the investment in education has been being enlarged. The school network has been built and connected to the internet. Television, tape recorder and projector have been fixed up in each classroom and the multimedia has been used in teaching in each subject. The research on mental health education has made its initiatory achievment, and the research subject "The Discussion on Fostering Students' Healthy Mentality inActivities" has been made the subsidiary subject of the mayjor subject of the national education science------"Research on the Move System of the Mental Health Education of Middle School and Primary School". By the hardworking of all students and teachers, the school has gained many titles such as "The Excellent Moral Education School of Suzhou"、"The Excellent Labour Union of Suzhou" and "The Excellent Management of School, Morall Education and Teaching of Changshu".
　　The school will take " Build a first-class teaching staff, implement the first-
class school management and guarantee the first-class education quality" as its purpose and "the Rural General School Management" as its aim. The whole school will work hard at implementing the quality education in each subject.
